Hello, i am seeing this problem while importing from iphone. First suggest you to check update for Photos app in Windows Store.
This can be a big problem, but you might be able to fix it by using one of our solutions. I tried multiple times after closing and opening the photos App, but every time I get the "Something Went Wrong. it did help me. Also Tried different USB port. Your files might not have been imported" If you get this message, there’s a way to solve it without giving up and having to end up buying something to import your photos from iPhone to the PC.

Updated to ios13 and now 13.1 but when importing pictures to windows 10 the photos app launches, scans the phone, comes up with how many items there are on the phone and then just sits there.
